My special place in Santiago

There are not many places that i go frequently, but are one that i like very much, and that is the "Cerro Santa lucia"

The Santa lucia is located practically in the center of Santiago, there are a Metro with the same name, so is conectated with the city.

i dont go frequently (as i said before), but i think i go one time for month. That is ironic, because the Santa Lucia is like the backyard of the FAU, but the time is not infinite, isnt it? (Get away Einstein)

When i go o the Santa lucia, i always go alone. Santa Lucia is like a site where i think about myself or where i relax, so go with other people is pointless. when i am there, is like that a mistyc calm embrace me, and invite me to rest in the grass. It's a very good experience that help me to overcome the problems, or when i am lack of ideas for my essays and stories. Normally i only do this, rest, but other times, when i am full of energies, i climb to the top and  i see the city.

The last time that i went was 1 month ago. Now i have to free an hour to go in the next days. Studying architecture is stressful, but if can go to the Santa Lucia, i am sure that i can overcome this challenge :)

The subject that i enjoy studying

Can be rare, for an studiant of architecture, the favorite subject would be Workshop or maths, but for me is languaje.

Languaje is a very extensive subject that covert the understanding of the base idiom and texts, also the writing and reading of them and the applications of the words and how them can affect the way that we communicate.

I enjoy studying it because i (despite the fact that i am studying architecture) love how the communication with others either oral or written, can affect the reacction of the people and his thoughts.

The studying of Languaje help me to influence the people around me in many periods of my life, for good or for bad. The understanding of the techniques in the conversation help me to socialize with many variery of people, normally more older than me. Also, Languaje show me the world of the writing (books and essay are the texts that i handle better), and that is one of my most valued treasure.

Languaje is very far one of the subjects that able the student get on good in the public life. It help you to communicate with other people in the best way, or defend your own ideas and thoughts. i dont change the knowledge that languaje give me for nothing, because is for it that i am writting this probably, and also is the reason why i was a forum guy, and write stories in the forums...

The architect that i admire

Time ago, when i was an fervent forum guy (and when i played videogames with european players) an friend of catalunya say me that how were my city. I reponse him with the description of santiago, his good thing, and his bad thing. He told me that his city was amazing, and he told me a name: Antoni Gaudi. I asked him about his works and proyects, but he refused. at the end, he say me that i must search about his works to understand him.

With very few information, i went to google and started to search information about Gaudi. He was an unique architect, that make a lot of proyects in spain, most specifically in barcelona. Searching a bit more, i saw that he designed the Basilica of the sacred family, that was his great and most important work but not the unique: he also did the güell park, the cript of the güell colony, the house mila and very others more.

i was impacted with the Gaudi works,he had a very unique style with the use of concavity and colors. His works are very flashy, nobody that go to barcelona or catalunya can ever miss the gaudi's work.

from that moment, i like the Gaudi's proyects, for his great creativity and innovation, the use of the colors, the curved and semi-curved architecture that he managed. i am sure that in his time, he was a great person.

Finally, i thanks my friend for talking me about gaudi, despite that he only told me his name, thanks to him i found a magnificent architect :) .

Hi!

My name is Angel, i have 18 years and actually i'm studying  architecture in the university of chile. I live in Santiago, in the commune of Pedro Aguirre Cerda. I am glad to write thing like these, because before i was a forum guy, so i like the discussions and express my opinions. I also like play flute, and drawing despite the fact that i draw bad, is relaxing create thing that in some moment you will be proud of.

In my free time i try to do a lot of exercise or play football, and, why not, sometimes play computers games or chat with my olds friends. Whenever i am bored, i like to play with my cats or fight in a friendly tone with them.

In any case, all my hobbies are for one reason, and that is someday create an Interactive book, with great pictures, music and history; Is like my dream i guess.
